I am a geologist by training and profession so rock is a pretty familiar medium. My Grandfather carved stone and so did my uncle; they both waited until they retired before they started in earnest. I decided not to wait that long.

Ever since childhood I have always done some form of art;  silver-smithing, lapidary etc. but when I was 17 I saw a stone sculpture I really liked and thought to myself 'I could do that'. It took 20 years but I did it.
